Jesus in Revelation (20)

Did Lucifer win a home?

Unfortunately, he did. He rode out of heaven on a white horse with the intent on winning. In biblical times, riding on a white horse symbolized a victory. A benevolent and an evil victor rode on a white horse, as a form of honor. In Revelation, John describes both Jesus and Lucifer, the Satan, as riders on a white horse. However, John differentiates between Jesus and Lucifer by describing Jesus as a rider with “many crowns,” including the royal crown. Lucifer, however, has only one victor’s crown, signifying that he has won over to him one-third of angels in heaven. Revelation 19:11 – 12; Revelation 6:1 – 2. Additionally, John describes Jesus as riding a white horse in heaven, while Lucifer rides a white horse out of heaven. Satan’s riding on a white horse out of heaven is a warning that an evil force has gone out of heaven, with intent to conquer and dominate.

Lucifer conquered what he hoped to be his home but not by force because he did not have the authority to employ force. The only option for legally possessing a domain was to convince its inhabitants to give it to him voluntarily. Accordingly, by applying a deceptive approach, Lucifer convinced the first humankind, in Adam, to hand over to him the earth as his principality. The first human pair did so contrary to the reason God created them. God created the universe with intent to, in the fullness of time, place an order of intelligence called Man in it. Therefore, as the Creator intended, humankind should be the administrator of this universe; to maintain it as a part of God’s infinite Dominion. “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26, NKJV. Therefore, Lucifer, Satan, had to convince the humankind to give him the earth. As his home.

The humankind had full authority over the earth, according to the responsibility given by Creator. For reasons not disclosed to us, Adam, the representative of humanity, had to make an intelligent decision and choice. Probably, in conformity to the laws in this universe, the intelligence inhabiting a planet in it must make a deliberate choice; because there are two conflicting histories in our universe. Accordingly, the Creator tested the humankind. “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Genesis 2:16 – 17, NKJV. Therefore, in its representative, humankind had full knowledge concerning the two histories, the two realities. One reality is God’s way, and it leads to eternity. The other reality is what Lucifer chose, and it leads to eternal destruction.
