Jesus in Revelation (66)

The Remnant will proclaim the gospel, continued.

“A second angel followed and said, ‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great,’ which made all the nations drink maddening wine of her adulteries.” Revelation 14:8. The three angels proclaim the same everlasting gospel. There is only one gospel, the good news, Jesus Christ. This proclamation refers to the punishment of prostitutes depicted in Revelation 17:1, 2. When the angel took John to the desert to show him the prostitute, the Great City, he saw a woman with a name on her forehead, ‘Babylon the Great,’ the mother of prostitutes. In Revelation 18:1 – 3, John describes an angel with great authority who proclaimed, ‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great.’ Certainly, all three references address same Babylon. Babylon stands for confusion. In Revelation 17:18, the angel tells John that the woman, the prostitute, is the ‘Great City’ that rules over the kings of the earth. The global coordinating authority, or one-world government, is the city that rules over the ten kings on the earth. The global coordinating authority will convince the countries and nations of the world to join the global system that will enable them to gain wealth and self-sufficiency. However, the Great City, the global coordinating authority, will suffer great punishment depicted in Revelation chapter 18.

The only global coordinating authority, the WTO, leads the world’s nations to implement a single global economy. Such an economy will generate wealth that will deceive the world’s people into pinning their hope for a long range of survival on their self-sufficiency. The City, WTO, urges the world’s nations to depend on human wisdom and ingenuity in securing a peaceful and prosperous future. The World Trade Organization (WTO), located in Geneva, Switzerland, is currently coordinating and leading the world’s countries in this effort. As the world’s peoples become more self-reliant, there will be less reliance on God. There will be a widespread misrepresentation of God. Jesus Christ revealed God to the world fully; however, the world will disregard it. John 17:6, 26. The people, in general, will be confused about God and His plan for humankind. Accordingly, the third angel issues a warning.

“A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead and their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury.” Revelation 14:9. The world’s nations will voluntarily ‘worship’ the beast or be an active part of the global system of self-reliance established by the image of the beast. Therefore, the One world will demand that the citizens of the member nations follow and support the Great City, Babylon, which is the administrative body of the image to the beast. Under the conditions established by the Great City, Babylon, the preaching of the gospel will diminish. Religious leaders and their followers will marginalize Christ. The prosperity will make the people a lover of self and not the lovers of God. 2 Timothy 3:2.

Accordingly, a powerful angel will issue a call, ‘come out of her my people.’ Revelation 18:4.

The righteous in Jesus, who have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb, will come out of various confusions where they fellowship and join in the proclamation of the good news, the eternal gospel. This group will not represent a particular church or denomination. They are the yielded believers who have died to self, and now Christ lives in them. They are in the kingdom; therefore, they proclaim the good news of the kingdom.
