What kind of God did Jesus reveal to fallen humankind?
By suffering the Cross of Christ Jesus revealed a God who, by the incomparable extent and intensity of His love for us in Jesus Christ, saved us from guilt and punishment for sin. Jesus, the one-of-a-kind child of God, is a faithful witness to undeserved extent and manner in which God loved us the sinners. Even though the humankind, because of sin in the garden of Eden became His enemies, God still selflessly loved us the sinners. Because of His selfless love for us, God left our sin unpunished until His Grace would be revealed to humankind, in Jesus Christ. In His Grace on the cross at Golgotha God removed our sin from us and destroyed it forever. Now, because of the unsurpassable greatness of Grace God demonstrated in Jesus Christ, we stand free from condemnation by the law.
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the life-giving Spirit in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 1:1, 2, NET) Therefore; “…To the one who loves us and has set us free from our sins at the cost of his blood and has appointed us kings, as priests serving his God and Father – to him be the glory and power to the ages of the ages! Amen.” (Revelation 1:5 – 6), NET
